Welcome to the world of quilting! In this hands-on class, you’ll learn the building blocks of quilting, literally. We’ll walk you through the fundamentals using the classic quilt block as your guide. You’ll create a 6x6” quilt patch that you can stitch onto a shirt, jacket, or tote you bring from home.

Learn the different parts of a quilt, essential tools, decoding quilter’s lingo, and the basics of choosing fabric
Cut, sew, and use half square triangles to build your block
The step-by-step process for cutting, piecing, and backing
How to attach your finished block to a wearable item or bag
By the end of class, you’ll have a beautiful, handmade quilt block, designed by you and ready to show off.
Sewing machines, fabric, thread, and needles will be provided for you. Participants are responsible for bringing the item they wish to attach their finished to (a t-shirt, sweatshirt, jacket, tote bag, etc.).
