The Maker Bar

A flexible, drop-in creative experience for folks who want to work with their hands without committing to a full class. Most projects take 30–60 minutes and range from $30–$50, so it's easy to fit into your day.

The Maker Bar is temporarily closed and will reopen at our new West Seattle studio this fall. Check back for updates on our grand reopening.

Drop in. Make something. Leave proud.

What Is the Maker Bar?

The Maker Bar is a self-paced, drop-in creative experience at The Works Seattle. Instead of signing up for a class, you choose a project and make at your own pace.

No prior experience required and all materials are provided. Kids and families are welcome!

How It Works

  1. Choose a project from our curated Maker Bar offerings

  2. We’ll get you set up with your materials and step-by-step instruction handbook

  3. Make at your own pace — we’re here if you need help

  4. Leave with something you’re proud of

Walk-Ins & Reservations

The Maker Bar is designed to be flexible.

You’re welcome to walk in during open hours and join us if space is available. If you want to guarantee a spot — especially during busier times — we recommend reserving in advance.

Who the Maker Bar Is For

The Maker Bar is perfect if you:

  • Want a creative outlet without a long commitment

  • Are looking for a low-pressure way to create

  • Like the idea of dropping in on your own schedule
