Pop-ups at The Works

We’re passionate about community and connection. That’s we why host pop-ups at The Works featuring everything from artists to coffee roasters to doughnut makers! Here’s what’s coming up:

Local farmers produce bags

July 13, 10am-1pm

Coffee, pastries, and produce bags (stamp your own!)

What do Onda Coffee, Salmonberry Goods, and The Preserve Shop have in common? They all work hard to create sustainable, quality goods... AND (bonus!!), they’re all popping up at The Works on Saturday, July 13th!

Come by anytime from 10am-1pm to:

  • Sample pour overs and cold brew from Onda Origins, a company who is all about knowing your farmer (even if they’re in South America or Africa).

  • Indulge in farm-to-table pastries from Salmonberry Goods, bakers who source nearly all of their ingredients right from our local farmers.

  • Get crafty by stamping your own produce bag with Elise from The Preserve Shop, a woman-of-color owned small business focused on sustainability. We’ll have veggie-focused stamps, fabric markers, and everything else you need to get major style points (and enviro-points) the next time you shop.

August 22, 6-8pm

Painting with petals (And chocolate!)

Come get colorful with Shannon Douglas of Honest Magazine and make your own tea towel naturally dyed with flowers!

Flower pounding is a technique of hammering flowers to transfer their colors and shapes to fabric in a sweeping, watercolor application. We’ll walk you through how to compose pleasing patterns, shapes, and color compositions and then set you loose to create your own.

While you’re getting creative, how about a snack? ChocolateSpiel will be on hand offering samples of their small batch bean-to-bar chocolate, chocolate covered trail mix, and nut butters.

Flowers and chocolate… sounds like a perfect post-work treat!
