Impress your friends with homegrown garden-to-table fare this summer. Whether you want to grow tomatoes, peppers, or any other crop, starting seeds for your garden has never been easier! This class is suitable for total newbies and seasoned gardeners alike. That’s right, we’re looking at you, gardener who always purchases your plants as starts.

In this hands-on class, we’ll show you everything you need to know to start your own seeds, including the difference between starting seeds indoors versus out, light, water, and timing considerations, hardening off, and transplanting!

Your ticket includes the salsa garden collection from our friends at Seattle Seed Company, featuring one packet each of cilantro, tomato, tomatillo, jalapeno, and onion. We’ll work hands-on with these seeds in class so you’ll leave with your babies planted and ready to grow into delicious salsa this summer!

Saturday, March 9, 11am-12:30pm

As a small step toward making The Works a space for everyone, we save one spot in every class for someone who wants to attend but otherwise can’t afford to. This is an honor system program - read more about it here. All ticket sales subject to our Terms and Conditions.
